Congressman Rick Hill Endorses Elsie Arntzen for U.S. House

HELENA - This morning, former U.S. Representative Rick Hill endorsed State Senator Elsie Arntzen in her Republican primary campaign for Congress. Hill previously held Montana's lone U.S. House Seat for two terms and was most recently the MT GOP's 2012 gubernatorial nominee. In making his endorsement, the former Congressman noted that Elsie's unique perspective and positive approach to problem-solving will allow her to be an effective voice for Montanans in Washington. "Elsie has succeeded in being elected and reelected in a swing legislative district while being faithful to her conservative values. She is a public school teacher who supports school choice. She has a solid fiscal record. She has demonstrated her concern for policies that promote jobs and a growing economy. And as the Chair of important committees such as Ethics and Business & Labor, Elsie has earned the respect of legislators through her thoughtful approach to major issues," said Hill. Arntzen, a conservative state senator who was born and raised in Billings, praised Rick and his wife, Betti, for their dedicated service to Montana and the Republican Party. "It's an honor to have the endorsement and support of Congressman Hill. I look forward to putting my Montana values to work on behalf of our great state in Washington D.C.," said Arntzen.
