The press release below is from October 15, 2013--when Matt announced his candidacy. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. Matt Rosendale Announces Campaign for Congress Glendive, MT - Speaking to a crowd at Makoshika State Park in Glendive, Matt Rosendale officially announced his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives. "I believe that now more than ever our Republic needs citizen servants, willing to put character, common sense and conservative values ahead of party, big business, or personal enrichment... I share the frustration that many of you have talked about when we see what a mess our federal government is making of our great country." Matt said in a short speech to the crowd. In addition to speaking about his background as a rancher in Eastern Montana, Matt addressed both the problems in Washington and his plan to get America back on track. "There is a war going on for the very heart and soul of our country. A war between the belief that government is best which governs most or the government espoused by President Reagan who taught that government is best which governs least." Matt concluded that we must "return our country to a path of fiscal sanity and principled constitutional leadership from citizen representatives, not career politicians." Matt Rosendale is currently serving his first term as a State Senator from District 19 in Glendive where he lives with his wife Jean. Matt and Jean have three grown sons and attend Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joining in support for Matt Rosendale as the campaign kick offs: *Senator or Representative from Billings Sen.
